		<description><![CDATA[Nancy, does this mean that the chickens might not figure out to use the ladder to get into the coop by themselves?  Right now, the remain huddled under the coop (in the rain) instead of going in it where it is dry. Thanks for sharing your chicken experience with me!]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I do most of my chicken wrangling when it is getting darkish...I learned that no chicken will willingly go where you want it unless it is getting dark and it is hunting for its roost...I raised the Chichi Sisters from day old chicks and so they know me, but are still skittish.  Just before they start laying, they become easier to handle because they associated you with a rooster and will squat in front of you so you can pick them up. You only get a quick try so you have to be fast and get both wings pinned at once...*: )]]></description>
